what is causing my computer to run so slow?
I’m using an IBM Thinkpad X30 with Windows XP professional. The computer has begun to run very slow. If I reboot it will run fast and smooth for about a few hours and then it starts run slow.
And by slow I mean there is a delay to be able to select things with my mouse or type.
I am running Zone Alarm Anti-virus and I just recently did a defrag which really didn’t help. Here’s the top things I have running (ctrl alt delete) in the background in order of memory usage:
firefox.exe
scanningprocess.exe
